Thousands of people took to the streets for the Great Manchester Run including 15 avid Friendship Circle supporters. As well raising over £6,500 for the charity, friends and families enjoyed the buzz and atmosphere of a beautiful sunny day in the City Centre.
Michael Levy took on his first ever half Marathon when his son Yoel, asked him to wear a T shirt with the words ' My son challenges me to run a half marathon in 2021.' Michael replied 'Challenge Accepted!'
Following months of road running, training and preparation in all weather conditions Michael completed the 13.1 mile run in 2 hours 13 minutes raising £740 for The Friendship Circle.
'The Friendship Circle, is a charity close to my heart. It has had a lifechanging impact on the lives of Hannah and her friends, enabling them to forge lasting friendships, gain new skills and build confidence.' said Michael.
The youngest runner taking part for the charity was Pippa Schwarz (age 4) who completed the Mini Run with her brother Charlie (8).
Other runners for The Friendship Circle included Half Marathon Beth Bacall and Gila Ross; 10K participants, Steven Maskill, Vivien Schuz, Isabel Stone and Aaron Gouldman, Junior Run Competitors Adina Rose, Liron and Tamir Banay, and Mini Runners Joshua Saunders, Hadassa Banay and Joshua Lyons.
