The Friendship Circle have enjoyed two fantastic days out over the last few weeks, making the most of the lovely weather.

Exploring a wide range of birds and other wildlife at Brockholes Nature Reserve and getting up close to the elephants and giraffes during an outing to Chester Zoo, were just some of the highlights from our summer calendar.

Over 80 members and volunteers explored the main attractions at the UK’s number one zoo. The hours whizzed by spotting many endangered animals, from chimpanzees to cheetahs, rhinos to reptiles. We also spent time out picnicking on the grass, visiting the gift shop and a few of us even indulged in a spot of face painting!

Esty Bruck commented ‘It was incredibly special for us all to get together after so much time apart and we can’t wait to go on more exciting trips over the coming months.’
